Overview

CES offers boards, application-ready bundled packages and complete systems. These products can be delivered either in a commercial air-cooled environmental specification range or in a ruggedized air-cooled or ruggedized conduction-cooled environmental specification range for hostile environments.

All software elements required for the application, except for COTS operating systems, are developed in-house and are delivered integrated together, all the way from the low-level monitor, through the operating system and the drivers, to the high-level libraries and APIs. The optimization of these elements is a mastered competency of CES.

Hardware-Level Products

CES board bundled packages include any combination of the following:

• PowerPC and INTEL-based real-time processors (VPX, VME, CompactPCI, PMC)
• Avionic interfaces (AFDX®, MIL-STD 1553B, EFABUS, ARINC 429, CANBUS, analog I/O, discrete I/O, PANLINK, CCDL, high-resolution global datation, custom)
• Network interfaces (Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and ATM in either PMC or AdvancedMC form factor)
• BSPs, drivers and libraries for all of the above

Software-Level Products

The quality of the hardware / software connection is the key to performance for real-time systems. At CES, low-level software is handled by system engineers who work in close collaboration with hardware engineers. CES has created a totally integrated group.

System-Level Products

Complete systems include aircraft test systems and multi-service network platforms. This activity is the most important part of CES’ business. Used in conjunction with technology transfer and training services, it allows the user to integrate his own elements and build the application in an unrivaled short-time with guaranteed program success.

CES also delivers airborne computers for aircraft, helicopters and drones. These airborne computers range from a single board VPX, VME or CompactPCI mission computer with a complete computer software set (all of the way up to the application) to a fully packaged ARINC 600, ATR or VPX box including all of the hardware (processors, aerospace and network interfaces, etc.) and software elements.
