Overview
The increase in mission
functions,
as well as the growth of sophisticated technology for the wide variety
of
avionic and defense applications, has lead to immense complex
requirements for
the functional performance of mission computers. Not only are
there
countless operational features, there are also tactical requisite
requirements
for rapid mission reconfiguration. With these elaborate
requirements,
today’s mission computers must be highly versatile, scalable, and very
importantly, easy-to-use. There is also an enormous pressure to
reduce the
weight, size and power consumption, while at the same time increase the
speed,
functional capability, and storage.
CES’s suite of mission computers utilizes COTS-based platforms, which
are implemented in a modular architecture, and therefore we ensure that
our customer’s investment is protected for interfacing capabilities and
future upgrades. Our extensive implementation experience gives us an
advantage as a preferred solution provider of custom integrated mission
computers, which meet the most rigorous customer specifications,
project time-lines, as well as an exhaustive list of certification
levels.
| Command and Control Computing Systems |
CES Command and Control Computing Systems are avionic computer platforms based on standard CES hardware and software elements with user-defined I/O pinouts and front-panel design. The main functionalities of these systems range from mission management, communication management, payload management, flight control system and navigation system management. The system architecture is based on a modular architecture, which can be arranged in order to meet user requirements, including development according to DO-178B/C and DO-254. |

| Mission Tactical Systems |
CES Mission Tactical Systems are installed in various platforms, including manned fixed wing, helicopters and UAV. CES produces two different types of systems; safety-critical and ISR/C3I. Our safety-critical mission tactical systems manage data, which directly influence the flight strategy of the aircraft. The manipulated data is control type, typically with a low bandwidth requirement. Our mission tactical systems for ISR/C3I applications addresses high bandwidth acquisition/communication functions from a suite of sensors and payload. |

UAV Mission Computers |
CES Mission Computers for UAV systems provide high-level mission management and payload management functionalities. Processing power is provided by one or more CES processor boards, which communicate over VME/VPX and/or high-speed serial links. A large variety of avionic interfaces are available from CES, including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, RS-422/485 and many others. Video processing capabilities include digital and analog video input and output, still image and streaming video compression, as well as custom processing in the CPU or FPGA. These systems are typically integrated into a sealed military ATR enclosure, and are qualified to withstand the most severe environmental conditions. |
